The primary responsibility of the Delivery Driver is to transport goods safely and efficiently from the point of origin to the designated destination. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Tallies & loads required items for delivery onto delivery transport.
- Ensure timely deliveries by planning efficient routes, adhering to schedules, and promptly addressing any unexpected delays or challenges.
- Maintains accurate delivery logs and records, collects and verifies delivery instructions, and promptly report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by communicating effectively with customers and promptly addressing any concerns.
- Coordinate deliveries and maintain smooth operations by working collaboratively with warehouse, logistics teams, and other departments.
- Conduct routine checks on the delivery vehicle, report maintenance or repair needs promptly, and adhere to scheduled maintenance appointments to keep the vehicle in good working condition.
- Assist and support warehouse duties to ensure overall operational efficiency.
Other Preferred Skills
- Class 3 driving license
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with Chinese speaking associates.
- Ability to make decisions from adhoc situations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Physically fit
Qualification & Education Requirements
- Minimum O-Level or Equivalent and above
- > 2yrs of relevant experience
